Paid Time Off
BAI offers vacation, sick and safe leave, and 7.5 holidays to all full-time employees. Regular part time employees are also eligible for sick and safe leave. Vacation time increases on an incremental basis with the employee’s tenure.
Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
BAI offers health, dental and vision insurances for employees and their dependents. Employees may select the plan that fits their needs and requirements. Monthly premium costs are based upon the level of coverage and plan choice. BAI also offers participation in a Health Savings Account (HSA) for select plans. Eligibility for insurance is the first of the month following thirty (30) days of employment.
Life and Disability Insurance
All full-time employees are eligible for coverage under a generous life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and enrollment in the long-term disability insurance. Coverage is 100% funded by BAI. We also offer a voluntary short-term disability for all full-time employees. Eligibility for life and disability insurances is the first of the month following ninety (90) days of employment.
Professional Registration and Organizations
We encourage participation in professional societies and maintaining professional licensing. We offer reimbursement for memberships in professional societies and license renewal fees.
Tuition Reimbursement and Training
We encourage our employees to pursue courses of study that will benefit their professional careers and the needs of the company. We provide tuition reimbursement for qualified employees for $5,250 per calendar year and a $10,500 lifetime maximum. Reimbursement is also for advanced degrees and for training to obtain and maintain work-related certifications.
We also provide extensive in-house training courses during bimonthly lunchtime sessions. Topics include basic, intermediate and advanced design, software programs, current policies/design approaches and project management. Employees are encouraged to suggest new topics or ideas to continuously provide the most effective training.
Employees are eligible to participate in the company 401k plan after six (6) months of employment and they must enter on the 1st day of the next quarter. Employees have the option of contributing to the plan by either pre-tax or post-tax. BAI will match dollar for dollar up to 4% of the employee’s contributions. Employees are 100% vested at the time of enrollment.
Bonuses and Rewards
Employees are eligible to receive performance bonuses based on annual performance evaluations, which includes, but not limited to, technical expertise, adherence to schedules, profit awareness, records/documentation, self-improvements, training, management skills, client maintenance, and general attitude. Specific criteria for some individual employees can be directed at billable and direct hours, project quality status and marketing efforts. BAI can also distribute incentive awards and/or spot bonuses based on performance by an individual outside of the general criteria. BAI offers a referral bonus to employees to refer a ‘friend’ to the company. To be eligible, the new hire must successfully complete the ninety (90) day evaluation period. BAI also awards an “Employee of the Year” bonus to 1 (or more) employee(s) that shows outstanding performance throughout the year. The “Employee of the Year” receives one day (8 hours) of vacation hours.
