Woodmont Lodge Structural Investigation

Brudis & Associates, Inc. is responsible for providing a detailed structural investigation for the main building at Woodmont Lodge.  The lodge is a historic structure used by past presidents and other notable persons dating back to the 19th century.

BAI performed an initial site inspection to compile a structural investigation report with recommendations for repairs to an existing exterior wall, which had become separated from the interior frame of the main lodge building.  The investigation also included an examination of second floor areas that had shown floor sagging.

Seat Pleasant and Beltsville Fire Station Interior Wall Investigation

Prince George’s County Office of Central Services

Brudis & Associates, Inc. successfully provided a detailed structural investigation of these two Prince George’s County Fire Station Facilities. The investigation included the building walls and a determination of the extent of cracks and other visible damage in order to examine the potential structural failures.

Subsequent to the structural investigation, BAI provided repair recommendations and developed complete construction plans, specifications and cost estimates for the structural repairs to the walls.

Springfield State Hospital Facility

Under an Engineering Services Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract with the Maryland DGS, Brudis & Associates, Inc. was responsible for the structural analysis of the Springfield State Hospital Campus in Carroll County, Maryland. Specifically, BAI investigated the deteriorated concrete loading dock roof at the medical/surgical building at the State Hospital.

The project included design services, complete construction plans, specifications and cost estimate for the replacement of the dock roof and detailed design plans for a new 500 sq. ft. steel framed roof and roof system consisting of Modified Bituminous Membrane Roofing.

Courthouse Parking Garage

Prince George’s County Office of Central Services

BAI was responsible for providing a detailed structural condition assessment and inspection for an existing five-level concrete parking garage structure built circa 1992.  The parking garage serves the Prince George’s County District Court building in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

The project involved a comprehensive visual condition inspection of the entire garage structure; and preparation of an inspection report that included photographs, drawings, repair recommendations and details, and cost estimates.
