District Court/Multi-Service Center Parking Structure

Maryland Department of General Services

Brudis & Associates, Inc. developed complete construction plans and specifications for a new concrete elevated parking structure at the District Court/Multi-Service Center in Queen Anne’s County, Maryland. This 22,000 square foot precast structural system was required to satisfy the parking requirements of the motoring public visiting the facility, which operates nine (9) state agencies and two (2) court-rooms.

The new parking deck was built over most of the existing at-grade public lot and included an entrance ramp with security/gate controls, and landscape buffer along North Liberty Street in the downtown area.

Lapidum Boating Facility offers access to the Susquehanna River and the Chesapeake Bay.  The facility is open year round and consists of boat launches, restroom facilities and parking to accommodate boat trailers.

The existing parking lot was insufficient to accommodate parking on high usage days.  BAI provided complete construction plans, specifications and estimates for a new asphalt pavement parking expansion between the west side of the existing asphalt lot and the abandoned railroad bed to include additional trailer and car spaces.  The project involved ADA compliant parking, pavement striping, lighting, tidal wetlands, E/S, SWM, critical areas, and guardrail/bollards for public safety.
