Construction Inspection Services

Brudis & Associates, Inc. (BAI) was responsible for Construction Inspection services for State Highway Administration Traffic Operations Division (TOD). The inspection services involved traffic signal installations, signing and lighting improvements, audible pedestrian signals, ADA compliance upgrades, ITS installations (DMS, CCTV and automated speed enforcement), minor geometric improvements, ADA ramps, curb, gutter, islands, medians, roadway, intersection control beacon installations, hazard identification beacons, overhead/cantilever sign structures, rumble strips, telemetry, fiber-optic interconnect systems, electrical service equipment, intersection, interchange & roadway lighting, inspection of foundations, structures, conduit, loop detectors, electrical cables, luminaries, controller and cabinets. BAI attended and conducted pre-construction meetings to review contract documentation, cross sections, IFB’s, right-of-way, utilities conflicts, materials testing equipment, sketch books, reports and field books. BAI prepared construction stakeout checklist, signal project checklist, TCD turn-on/modification reports, TCD Inspectors Daily Report (IDR) and developed technical inspection reports for signals, lighting and signing. Punch-list items included cabinet, poles, structures, overhead and underground utilities, hand boxes, detectors, luminaries and electrical services.
